Official JAMB cut off mark 2016/2017 for admission into any universities, polytechnics,
College of education, and other institutions of your choice has been released.


The announcement was approved by the Joint Admissions and matriculation Board
(JAMB), all universities (Federal, State or Private) shall accept candidates with
Minimum UTME  scores of 180. Alongside all Federal, State and Private Polytechnics,
Colleges of Education and other degree awarding institutions will accept 150.

The permanent secretary, Ministry of Education, announced the cut off after a vote by representatives of all institutions requiring JAMB scores at a combined policy meeting in the Abuja office of JAMB.

Below is the cut-off points used for last admission by all institutions we have;
Cut-off Marks for universities, polytechnic and colleges of education.

Cut off Marks for Universities, polytechnics and colleges of education 2016/2017

  • All universities – 180/200

  • All Polytechnics – 150

  • All Colleges of Education – 150

1. All universities in Nigeria has been directed by joint admission and matriculation board (jamb) that the minimum cut-off mark of all state university in Nigeria is 180 and some federal universities. While some federal universities like Federal university of agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Obafemi Awolowo university (OAU), University of Benin (UNIBEN), University of Ibadan (UI), University of Lagos (UNILAG), are to cut off 200.

2. All polytechnics in Nigeria are to cut off 150 and above to be qualified to write post utme, and also to be qualified to gain admission into any polytechnics of your choice.

3. All college in the same hand are to cut off 130 and above to be qualified to write their post utme and also to have a high chance of gain admission into any college of education of your choice.

Candidates applying into College of Health Technology must posses the following requirements.

  * At least five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO O Level subjects in not more than two  sitting. 

 *  Which includes English Language, Math, Chemistry, Biology and physics.

*  The candidate most posses Junior Community Health Extension Workers Certificate.

*   Two (2) years post qualification experience in addition to the above stated O Level requirements.

*  The candidate most also have Two passport with white background

Entry Requirement into Junior Community Health Extension Workers in-Training (JCHEW) - Certificate Programme

1. At least five (5) credit passes in WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO O Level subjects in not more than two  sitting. 

2. Passing Mathematics will indeed add to his advenage into getting admission into the school.

Entry Requirement into Environmental Health (EHT)

1.   At least five (5) Credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings from one source.
2.  West Africa Health Examinations Board National Diploma (WAHEB ND) in Environmental Health Technology plus at least five (5) Credit passes in WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO O Level subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two sittings from one source.

Entry Requirement into Health Information Management (HIM) Programme

Candidate must possess the following requirements: At least 5 credit passes in WAEC, SSCE, GCE, & NECO O Level subjects at not more than two sittings from one source, and which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science and any other Science among Chemistry/ Physics, Agricultural Science and a Social Science subject that can be selected among Geography, Economics and Government.

Entry Requirement into Medical Laboratory Technicians In-Training (MLT Certificate) Programme

Candidate must possess the following requirements: At least 5 credit passes in SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB O Level subjects at not more than 2 sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Any result that is more than 5years from the next academic session is not acceptable by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

5. Use your PIN (as contained in the receipt obtained at the bank), to access the online application form.
6. Complete the application form by providing the required information.
7. When FINISHED, submit your Form by clicking the submit button.
8. A print out will be generated for you after the submission, kindly print this and come along with it on the day of entrance examination.

Gunmen attack Model College in Lagos abduct principals students


uspected gunmen, Thursday, attacked the State Model College in Igbonla, Epe, Lagos and whisked away the principal of the Junior secondary school, Mr Oyesola and his counterpart in the Senior Secondary School, Mr Akinrinade alongside some students during the morning assembly in early hours of Thursday Oct. 6.
However, The House of Representatives on Thursday in Abuja directed the Nigeria Police to ensure prompt release of the abducted victims.
This followed a motion under Matters of Urgent Public Importance, sponsored by Rep. Olawale Raji, representing Epe Federal Constituency, Lagos.
Moving the motion, Raji stressed the need to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of the act.
The lawmaker said “This unfortunate incident is a setback to the expansion of access to education and determination of parents to ensure that their wards get basic education’’, he said.
The House condemned the action of the abductors under whatever guise, adding that it was against the tenet of seeking qualitative education.
The House urged the police and other security agencies to intensify surveillance in Epe and other schools in the state to avoid similar occurrence or any breach of security in future.
