Nigeria police recruitment Applicants rise over 800 000 ahead the deadline

Nigeria police recruitment Applicants rise over 800,000 ahead the deadline - President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the recruitment of 10,000 policemen into the nations Police Force, so as to improve their services in protecting lives and properties.
But based on the report we received on Monday, 2nd May, 2016 by the Nigeria police commission (NPC) shows that over 800,000 applicants has applied for the Nigeria police recruitment that is on going in the federation.
In a statement issued In Abuja by the PSC Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, applications, numbering 243,327 were received for Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) cadre while 197,990 and 401,691 applicants applied for the Inspector and Police Constable (PC) cadres respectively.

The Nigeria police commission ( NPC ) has made it categorical clear that it was going to recruit 500 Cadet ASP, 500 Cadet Inspectors, 1,500 Specialist Officers and 7, 500 Constables in the recruitment exercise.
But due to the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria, the graduates and youths that have reach the age of labor force all over the country. Police fire shots to disperse protesting Lautech student
Understudies of the Ladoka Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, on Friday rampaged to dissent the waiting strike activity by educating and non-showing staff in the organization.
The strike activity, which began once again six months prior in June was set out upon by the laborers due to the non-installment of their pay rates and recompenses by the proprietors of the college, the Oyo and Osun state governments.
The strike activity has prompted to aggregate latency in the college.
Fridays dissent by the understudies later turned boisterous as police attempted to scatter dissidents.
The dissent, held before the LAUTECH College of Health, later saw cops discharging shots to scatter the understudies.
Addressing PREMIUM TIMES, an understudy of the school who asked to stay mysterious said "We have been on strike since June. There have been a few dissents held however nothing was done; so understudies chose to go on a quiet challenge (today).
"Police came and began shooting at understudies and they have begun capturing understudies," he included.
There is no confirmation yet that any of the challenging understudies managed discharge wounds.

For the interest of those seeking admission into Nigeria police academy and are willing and ever ready to participate fully in the admission exercise, should read below to see the requirements needed.
NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY 2016 ADMISSION REQUIEMENT
1. Candidates seeking admission into Nigeria Police Academymust be a Nigerian between the age of 17 to 22 year. He/she must have a height of not less than 1.67 meters. Also all candidates must be free from disease and must be physical fit with no disability.
2. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings and including a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidates chosen course of study in the Academy.
3. Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical and psychological tests of fitness.
NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY 2016 EXAMINATION DATE, CONDITIOS AND REQUIRMENTS
The Nigeria Police Academy, Selection Examination, may be Computer Based Test (CBT) or Pencil and Paper. The examination shall comprise of a General Paper (Section A) which is compulsory for all candidates. It will cover areas such as general knowledge and current affairs, English Language and Mathematics. Other sections are to be selected according candidates Faculty of choice. It will be conducted on Saturday the 16th July, 2016. Only candidates who obtained the minimum national cut-off marks or above will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination at 12 designated Centres. The list of Centres is in the Academy Website. Eligible candidates are to bring along to the examination venue their Acknowledgement Form, Examination Card, JAMB Result Slip and two Postcard size photographs (3.5×5 Inches) which should show only from the chest upwards. At the back of each of the two Postcard size photographs, the candidates must write their name, State of origin, examination centre and signature.
