WhatsApp Voice Calling Feature is Coming To The Popular Platform Soon

Voice calling, the one big feature missing from WhatsApp arsenal, is coming to the popular platform soon.
Weve been hearing about this feature since February, when WhatsApp CEO Jan Kuom announced that the voice calling feature would be added to Android and iPhone first, followed by BlackBerry, Nokia and Microsoft platforms. Now, NDTV Gadgets has spotted a mention of the feature in WhatsApp iPhone app, which all but confirms that the feature is indeed nearing launch.

JAMB will soon upload names of successful candidates board
Students who have been offered admission into tertiary institutions will soon see their names on the website of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This revelation was made by Dr Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head of media and information team during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, August 27.

He informed that the issue of unjust admission would not rear its ugly head as candidates who have successfully met the requirements for admission will have their names uploaded on their website soon.
Dr Benjamin said: “We have just concluded a five-day Technical Committee meeting on Admission that started on Aug. 22 at the Bayero University Kano.
“A lot was deliberated upon and at the end everything came out successful.
“We have ensured that the admissions are done in line with the set rules and regulations as provided by the Federal Government and the various institutions.

“We are aware that the function of admission of candidates is solely the job of the Senates of institutions and what we do as a board is to see the guidelines used in admitting the candidates and ensure ratification.
“We are passionate about ensuring that no candidate that meets any of the admission rules and guidelines as provided by both the institution and government is denied admission for whatever reason.”
During the start of the meeting, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the board’s registrar, had told the journalists present that each institution will determine admission requirements for candidates.
Meanwhile, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday, August 12, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing admission screening process in some universities across the nation.
The national president of the body, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
NAN had it that following the scrapping of the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by the government of the federation, the universities initiated new procedures to screen candidates for the 2016/2017 academic session.

WhatsApp for Windows Phone 8 to get media autodownload feature soon

WhatsApp Messenger is a popular app on the Windows Phone platform, among other platforms. Recently, the popular service revealed that they have over 400 million monthly active users. So it comes as no surprise that new features and improvements are being made and will soon hit the public build of the app.
According to tweet by @Nawzil8, who has been accurate numerous times, WhatsApp is currently beta testing a "media autodownload" feature which allows you to automatically download audio, video, and image files from messages. Or, you can disable the auto download by default and only have it occur while connected to a WiFi connection.
This is obviously a fantastic feature for those who wish to conserve data usage while utilizing the popular app on Windows Phone. No word yet on when we will see these new features make it into the public build, but we expect it to been soon! Stay tuned!
